Dear Fabulously Fit Folks,

Howdy!  I hope ya’ll are doing well and enoying life, both the big things and small.

In continuing from our last conversation about listening to the body, I wanted to share a few things that help me with some of the smaller aches and ouches.  I’m speak from direct experience this past week!

* For a kink in the back: Use a tennis ball in your car and/or office chair.  Place it at the source of pain and lean into it.  You can also move it around a bit for a massage.  Using a heating pad also works well.  I do this at night, even though you’re not supposed to sleep with it on.

* For raw feet (for those of us barefoot dancers): Using some heavy-duty lotion, marinate your feet with a generous glob and then cover them in a pair of socks.  Do this in the evening so you can sleep while your feet moisturize.

* For a bruise, stiffness, or aches, rub in some Arnica gel.

* For easing overall soreness, stretch and/or go for a walk.

If you’re into vitamins/supplements, I’m also a fan of Glucosamine Chondroitin to protect the joints and CO Enzyme Q10 for overall energy.

And, of course, a massage, staying hydrated and a soak in a hot bath are always high on my list!  My body talked, I listened, and I’m back to 100%!  Go, body, go!
